March is National Athletic Training Month. SHS student trainers participated in the annual Student Trainer Workshop with SBISD student trainers from MHS, NHS, & SWHS. They learned about emergency action plans, CPR, AED training, stop the bleed, and how to respond to heat illness/heat stroke with the new Polar Pod.

The following trainers recently won scholarships. Congratulations!

Patricia Suarez -- $500 scholarship for college and will be attending Brigham Young University at Idaho in the fall.

Peyton Whitton -- $500 scholarship to attend The University of Texas at Austin Athletic Training Camp this summer to further extend her knowledge and skills.
