The Boys' Golf Team and Thomas Thielemann advanced to the Regional Golf Tournament this past week. The team consisted of Caleb Lumpkin, Andrew Molina, Tyler Davis, Noah Bahrami, and Barton Smith. All the boys competed in very difficult conditions, with the course being wet and windy. The first round took place at Jersey Meadow Golf Course with wind gusts of over 20 mph, and the second round took place at Gus Wortham Golf Course with wind gusts of over 15 mph. Several players were openly frustrated with the windy conditions. I am very proud to say that the team and Thomas Thielemann battled the windy conditions to advance to the Regional Tournament at Eagle Pointe Golf Course.
Thomas Thielemann advanced to the tournament as a medalist and will represent Stratford individually. The Regional Tournament will be held at Eagle Pointe Golf Course on April 16th and 17th. Congratulations to the team and Thomas for advancing to the Regional Tournament!
