The Spartans picked up another win this week, improving their record to 4-1 in District with their final two games of the first round of District play coming against Cy Ridge on Monday and Memorial on Tuesday. They hosted Teacher Appreciation Night last week. Special thanks to all the teachers that make an impact on our athletes' lives!

vs. Cy Falls – Win (18-6)

The Spartan BOMB Squad showed up and showed out on Tuesday night. Shelby Thiobodeaux homered in the 2nd inning, Layla Yslas homered in the 3rd inning, and Marielle Kiersh homered in the 4th inning. The Spartans got off to a rocky start as Cy Falls put up 4 runs in the 1st inning, Stratford got back 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning from back-to-back walks drawn by Brooklyn Marks and Gwyn Katterhenry, followed by a sacrifice fly by Yslas and two singles by Allison Hibbetts and Kiersh. They added 6 more runs in the 2nd inning from three singles by Marks, Aashna Kapoor, and Kiersh, along with a sacrifice fly from Hibbetts and Thibodeaux’s BOMB. Stratford added 4 additional runs in the 3rd inning from singles by Marks, Kiersh, and Thibodeaux, a walk drawn by Hibbetts, and Yslas’ BOMB.

Cy Falls' fate was sealed with 5 more runs added in the bottom of the 4th, all earned on 2 outs from a Katterhenry single, walks drawn by Yslas and Hibbetts, a sacrifice fly by Kapoor, and a Kiersh BOMB! Kiersh led the offense going 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs. Katterhenry pitched 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs and picking up another 8Ks.
