The Stratford Swimming & Diving Team held their annual awards banquet on March 20th. The 2024-25 season was a banner one for the team!

  • At the Varsity and JV District Meets, the boys took 1st place, and the girls took 2nd. All of our six Varsity relays advanced to Regionals.
  • At Regionals, the boys missed 1st place by only a half-point, and the girls finished 2nd. Stratford’s performance at Regionals was fast enough to advance five of our relays to the Texas 6A State Meet, as well six individuals swimming in eight events. Maybe the highest number ever in the history of the program!
  • Four of our relays at Regionals even broke long-standing Stratford High School records!
  • Four swimmers from the team were recruited to swim at the collegiate level!

Stratford Swimming & Diving is special, like a family. Very strong bonds are made with all the early morning practices and the discipline it takes to work hard every single day to drop fractions of a second in the championship meets. While it was bittersweet to end this amazingly successful season and hear our seniors give their final heart-felt speeches about what Stratford Swimming & Diving has meant to them, it was great to celebrate our athletes and give them the recognition that they deserve. Go Big Green Always!
