Varsity Fort Bend Lonestar Invitational

Varsity played a very strong field of competition at the Fort Bend Lonestar Invitational on Thursday. It's always a great day for Stratford Tennis when we have two teams playing each other in the Girls A Doubles Consolation Finals. Congrats to Lupe Rodriguez and Sarah Thielemann for the win over Ruthie Egger and June Lim. Lupe and Sarah lost a tight first round to last year's Regional Qualifier team from Clements 4-8, and only lost 3 games over 4 matches in Consolation.

Additional congratulations goes to Sophia Preng and Kyle Chen for winning Consolation in A Mixed Doubles. Sophia and Kyle beat tough teams from Seven Lakes and The Woodlands to bring home their medals.

JV Katy ISD Tournament

Due to testing on Tuesday, only eight of our JV players were able to attend the Katy ISD Tournament. The day started out with a rain delay and ended with swirling winds that made for difficult physical and mental tennis conditions. Despite these conditions, Sakino Kataoka played strong tennis and brought home hardware after winning Consolation in the Girls Singles A Draw. Way to go, Sakino!
