VARSITY

Last week the Varsity Team played at Golf Club of Houston in very harsh weather. On day one, the round started in the 40s but warmed up to the upper 50s by the end of the round. Everyone struggled with the weather conditions, but Caleb Lumpkin managed to shoot even par with great iron play. On day two, the weather really turned bad with a thirty-minute rain delay starting the round. As the day continued and the temperature dropped with more light rain, the tournament was shortened to nine holes. The team didn’t play to their potential, but I am proud of the players for battling through the challenging weather.

JV

Last week the JV team played in a scramble event at Northgate Golf Course and tied for 1st place with three other teams. After a scorecard playoff, Stratford placed 3rd overall. This tournament is always a fun event for the players since they are paired together and can socialize with teammates.
