Tuesday 11/26 SHS vs. Katy Jordan

During the break we only played one game, and it was not pretty. Katy Jordan came to our house and put a whipping on us 38-68. We struggled against their size, physicality, and player rotations. It was as if they freely substituted throughout the game and just wore us down. The actual numbers bear that out. In the first quarter, we scored 13 points. In the second quarter, we also scored 13 points. In the entire second half we scored 12 points. The break could not have come at a better time so we can regroup, refocus and get back to winning basketball.

LD Haskins and Joaquin Andrews led our scoring with eight points each. JD Cheeves contributed seven points, Kobe Hines added six points, and Trent Burke and Elliot Harlan chipped in with three points each. Kenneth Owens (two points) and Vasili Fakaris (one point) closed out our scoring.

We will have two games next week as we return to action after the Thanksgiving holiday. Our first game next week will be on Tuesday December 3rd against Cypress Bridgeland. They are 8-3 so far this year. Freshmen A and the Sophomore Team start at 4:00 pm, Freshman B and JV start at 5:30 pm, and Varsity starts at 7:00 pm. Our second game next week is Saturday, December 7th at SHS against Klein Cain. They are 1-8 so far this year. Freshman A and the Sophomore Teams play at 10:00 am. Freshman B and JV play at 11:15 am, and Varsity plays at 12:30 pm.
