JV - Panorama Golf Course 10/28

On Monday, October 28th, the Boys JV Team was back in action at Panorama Golf Course. The team began the round with a few bad tee shots and missing several short putts. As play continued, the team turned to the back nine needing to make a few birdies to gain ground on the leaderboard. Cooper Cashman answered the call by dropping six shots on the back nine to shoot a 78 total, earning him 2nd place individually. Additionally, the overall team made a late charge to also earn the team a 2nd place finish. Congratulations to the team for finishing the round and placing 2nd!

JV - Moody Gardens Golf Course Scramble Tournament 10/31

The JV Team played on Halloween in a scramble tournament at Moody Gardens Golf Course. The weather on Halloween was perfect in the early morning, but as the afternoon started, the wind and rain stopped play. The round was eventually cancelled, but the team finished in a three-way tie for 1st place. After working out the scorecard details, the team was awarded the 3rd-place medals. The team was led by Jake Kurtin, Jackson Lisle, Tyler Kent, Liam Maglalang, and Christian Arndt.

The JV Team will play next at Cypresswood Golf Course.

VARSITY - Conroe Country Club Tournament 11/1-2

The Varsity Team played at the picturesque Conroe Country Club in the Buster Bower Memorial Tournament. On day one, the team started off slow but gained momentum as the round continued, making birdies on the closing holes. After day one, the team was one shot back from The Woodlands team.

On day two, the team started off much faster and took the lead on the first few holes. The team continued to play well and expanded the lead to ten shots over the nearest competitor. As we turned to the back nine holes, the weather opened up and forced the tournament to finish at 27 holes. At the conclusion of play, the Spartans took the 1st place finish. The team was led by Caleb Lumpkin, Andrew Molina, Tyler Davis, Noah Bahrami, and Barton Smith.

The Varsity B Team will play at Moody Gardens on Monday, November 11th. The Varsity Team will travel to Lufkin, TX on November 22nd–23rd to play in the Lufkin Panthers Invitational.
