vs. Cy Fair

Varsity Tennis traveled to Cy-Fair last Tuesday and played strong tennis against a tough opponent. They came up short, losing 9-10, but there were plenty of positive takeaways. Congratulations to the girls on their sweep, winning all of their matches. There were also some close matches on the boys' side. Kyle Chen/Sean Zeng lost a close 3-setter, Luka Silbernagel played outstanding against his opponent, and Christian Nafziger played great games in his match as well.

vs. College Park

On Friday, Varsity Tennis faced off against the 10th-ranked (Texas 6A) team in the state, College Park, and Stratford walked away with 8 wins. Way to go! There were some new doubles match-ups that played fantastic tennis. The boys' side played up one line and had some tight matches.

JUNIOR VARSITY

vs. Cy Fair

JV Tennis hosted Cy Fair at Stratford, and it was another difficult matchup. They lost 8-21, but as Assistant Coach Foster-Davison pointed out, winning is not everything. There were some standout performances, and the athletes walked away better for the experience. The team played through multiple bouts of rain and was able to play all 29 matches of tennis, the most they have played against an opponent all season! A couple of freshmen stepped up and filled in some valuable spots for the team. A big thank you to Eloise Mahan, Carson Branom, and Grant Smith!
