Ben Potter played in the 115th Texas Amateur Qualifier Tournament on Monday, April 8th at Beaumont Country Club. The day started with some weather conditions, resulting in Ben getting off to a shaky start with an early bogey on the 3rd hole. Ben recovered with a birdie on the 9th hole to finish the front nine at even par.

As the round continued, the weather cleared and Ben got hot with his putter, rolling in two birdies on holes 13 and 15, putting him at 2 under as he started the 18th hole. Ben started the 18th hole three behind the leader and knowing he had a three-shot cushion over his nearest competitor. As Ben hit his second shot into the green, the wind picked up and pushed his shot offline, forcing him to make a bogey. With the bogey, Ben finished 1 under for the tournament, which qualified him for the 115th Texas Amateur Tournament.

The 115th Texas Amateur Tournament will be played at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, June 13-16. Congratulation and best of luck to Ben at the Texas Amateur Tournament!

Also competing in the Texas Amateur Tournament is Noah Bahrami. This past Sunday, he finished tied for 10. Congratulations to Noah for showing well at the Texas Amateur Championship! Noah is a sophomore at Stratford with a great future ahead of him.

Ben Potter, Andrew Molina, Caleb Lumpkin, Tyler Davis, and Noah Bahrami will be representing Stratford at the Regional Golf Tournament this Wednesday and Thursday at Eagle Pointe Golf Course in Mont Belvieu, TX.
