Stratford Spartans vs. Cy Creek Cougars, March 19th

Stratford hosted the Cy Creek Cougars on Tuesday evening at The Backyard. Carson Craft would take the ball in Game 1 of the series. The big righty would dominate the cougars for 6 strong innings. He allowed 1 hit, struck out 9 batters, and allowed 0 runs. The offense would break through in the bottom of the 6th when Braxton Wakefield opened the inning with a single to center. Maddox Garnero would follow with a single to left to put runners on 1st and 2nd. After a Blake Barry walk, Ethan Gentil would bring home Wakefield on a ground out to the shortstop. Garnero would also come home on some great base running to make the score 2-0, Spartans. Ford Givens and Caden Cooper would pitch the 7th to keep the Cougars at bay and give the Spartans a 2-1 victory.

Stratford Spartans vs. Cy Creek Cougars, March 22nd

The Spartans would travel to Cy Creek High School for game 2 on Friday night. Thomas Cloud would start on the mound in game 2 for the Spartans. Cy Creek would have the Spartans' number on this Friday night. The Cougars jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first, and Stratford would never recover. Sparty would lose game 2 by a score of 7-0 to even their District record at 2-2.
