VARSITY

The Spartan boys captured their first team championship plaque of the season, winning the Will Sirmon Invitational at Pearland Dawson High School on Saturday. The Spartans racked up 164 points, ahead of Pearland Dawson with 123 and Northshore with 99.

The conditions were favorable for strong performances and fast times, and the Spartans took advantage. Sixteen Spartan boys took home top-3 medals and quite a few achieved new Personal Records (PR’s).

The Spartan girls finished seventh in the team standings and had two medal winners on the day.
