Last road game of the regular season was on Valentine’s Day!! This was a revenge game against Cy Creek, as they beat us at home in the first game, so the boys wanted to pay them back!!!!! Continuing our stellar play over the past month, we jumped out to an early five-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back. We pushed the lead up to 12 at halftime, and we were in control of the game.

But Creek came out aggressive in the second half and cut the lead to six before we settled down, regained our composure, and finished the game with a 63-48 victory. This victory cemented our second-place finish in District with a 12-2 record. We ended the regular season on a seven-game winning streak and won 15 of our last 21 games to end the season with a 20-15 overall record. The improvement has been steady and real!!!!

The leading scorers for the game were JD Cheeves with 20 points and Joaquin Andrews with 11. Shia Francis scored nine points, Vasili Fakaris contributed eight, Seven Francis chipped in with seven, Wes Wohlfahrt with six, and Jalen Jefferson with two. Check out the video HERE.

Because of our stellar season, we earned a berth in the UIL 2024 Basketball Playoff. Our first game will be this coming Tuesday (2/20) at 6 pm at Don Coleman Coliseum against Westside. It should be a very exciting game and we hope to follow in the steps of the girls team and have a long playoff run!!! Please try to come out and support our boys!
