The Stratford Girls Golf Team was very busy this past week as we are getting geared up for the District Tournament at the end of March.

The team of Vanessa Cruz (Fr), Claire Kadane (Fr), Jackie Reister (Sr), and Carly Stanton (Sr) competed in the Grand Oaks Spring Invitational at Cypresswood Golf Course. The team finished 7th out of 16 team. Clarie Kadane posted the low score for the team.

On Friday and Saturday, the team of Kenzie Bates (Soph), Campbell Crawford (Jr), Cami Jamieson (Fr), Sarah Schwartz (Sr), and Mae Trahan (Sr) competed in the 2-day Clements Spring Invitational at Sienna Golf Club. In less than great conditions, the team finished 6th out of 24 teams. Defeating two teams from the “red” school down I-10 from us.

Sarah Schwartz finished at 6 over par and tied for 3rd overall on the weekend.

In the past couple of weeks, many of the girls have posted personal best tournament scores. Teamwise in this weekend’s tournament,  everyone posted a score under 100 for the 1st time in a long time. They continue to improve by leaps and bounds. The coaches are extremely proud of them!

We have another busy week coming up with everyone in the program competing in a tournament. Monday we are at Northgate, Wednesday we are at Tomball CC, and on Friday we are at Atascocita Golf Club.

Go Spartans!
