It was a cold and wet Friday night for our JV-A Team, but that didn't stop them from being exhilarated as they stepped onto their home turf for their first scrimmage this season against Klein Collins! The constant, heavy rain made possession difficult for both teams, but Stratford ultimately had more possession and shots on goal throughout the game. Nicholas Velarde did a great job controlling the midfield, and Sergio Andrade had a beautiful free kick that almost went in the net. Our players had a great game given the unfavorable conditions, but Klein Collins found their luck on a PK and a break-away to score 2 goals.

The boys showed some great teamwork and nice passing, and we are looking forward to a great season ahead. The final score in Friday's scrimmage was Spartans 0, Klein Collins 2. They will take the field again after the holidays on January 9th at home against Klein.
