Our JV Lady Spartans hosted Cy Creek this past Tuesday, and they did not disappoint. Katherine Cronin and Camille Warren both had two steals apiece. With some quick eluding of the opponent, they quickly built a 9-4 lead. Leading the way was Riley O’Connor and Camille Warren, contributing with five and four points, respectively.

The JV Lady Spartans’ stifling defense continued into the second quarter. The combination of eight steals and four assists allowed the JV Lady Spartans to pull away from Cy Creek. Emerson Berg and Rylah Barnes had strong finishes coming off some nifty passing. The exclamation mark of the period came when Emerson Berg had a giant block that sent a message to the opponent. Our lead grew to 27-11 going into halftime.

The second half was similar to the first half as we had seven assists and eight steals. Kristabella Van Gaston’s effort was on full display with four points, two boards, and a key assist. Caroline White led the defensive effort in the second half with three steals. Our JV Lady Spartans won with a score of 54-22.

• Camille Warren had 22 pts, 13 steals, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists.
• Rylah Barnes had 10 pts, 4 rebounds, and a steal.
• Riley O’Connor scored 11 pts, 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
• Caroline White had 2 pts, 6 steals, and 2 assists.
• Emerson Berg had 4 pts, 2 rebounds, and a block.
• Katherine Cronin had 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
• Kristabella Van Gaston had 4 pts, 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
• Jordan Lundy had 2 rebounds, a steal, and an assist.
• Sophia French had an assist and a steal.
