As our Stratford students wrap up the fall semester and embrace the holidays, our Stratford soccer season begins! Cold fronts and rain do not stop our Lady Spartans. They are ready to play and fight to retain their District Championship status from last year. The 2034-2024 Stratford JV Soccer Team has a promising team led by 3 junior captains, 6 sophomores, and 13 freshmen.

vs. Pearland

Our season began on Friday, December 8th with our annual Christmas Extravaganza at Pearland HS, where each soccer player’s family brought toys for the children at Isaiah 117 House. It was a win-win game - lots of toys were donated and SHS brought home a 3-0 win!

vs. Cy Ranch

SHS hosted Cy Ranch on Tuesday, December 12th. The Lady Spartans maintained control of the ball and won 2-0!

vs. Tomball

Our last match-up before the holiday break was on Friday, December 15th at Tomball High School. Our SHS JV had many scoring attempts just missing the goal, and our defense kept the Tomball Cougars from scoring, resulting in a no score tie 0-0.

We wish all the Stratford community a safe and joyous holiday break. The Lady Spartans will continue to practice over the break and have a few more preseason match-ups (January 2nd vs. The Woodlands, January 9th vs. Kingwood, and January 19th vs. Angleton) before District games begin on Tuesday, January 23rd at Cy Fair High School. Come out and support us!
