Last week, the Top-5 Team played at Golf Club of Houston in the Dick Harmon Invitational. The field included teams from around the Houston area but also included Highland Park HS and Texas HS.

On Day 1, the team started out strong but let some strokes go on the back nine holes. At the conclusion of day 1, the team was sitting one shot back from Highland Park in the overall team standings. Individually, Ben Potter was sitting solo second place, with Tyler Davis and Caleb Lumpkin two shots back. On Day 2, we started on the back nine first and played the hardest part of the course first. Overall, the team played better in the second round and placed second, shooting a 602 two-day total.

Golf Clubs of Houston is one of the toughest courses we will play all year long. The team has room for improvement, but the coach is happy with the outcome of the tournament.
