Varsity Swim Team Takes On Tomball Memorial and Dulles

On Thursday afternoon, the Varsity Stratford Swim Team made the long bus trip to Tomball to compete at a tri-meet against Tomball Memorial and Dulles High Schools. Stratford dominated with a combined score of 480.5 points. (Top 8 relays score points in this order: 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and top 8 individuals score 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.) Tomball Memorial scored 260 points to finish 2nd, and Dulles finished with 243.5 for 3rd . Click here to view full meet results.

We had several first place finishes, both in relays and individually.

  • Girls 200 yard medley A relay with Emma Jackson (back, 29.64), Sophia Giesecke (breast, 31.74), Lindsay Wong (fly, 28.57), and Izzy Glover (free, 25.63)
  • Boys 200 yard free A relay with James Hackney (23.48), Vince Nguyen (22.21), Andy Zhuri (23.06), and Julian Hemmer (22.10)
  • Boys 400 yard free A relay with Andy Zhuri (51.19), Nathan Moss (49.62), James Hackney (51.51), and Julian Hemmer (48.65)
