The JV Green Team took care of business last week at home vs. the Cy Ridge Rams for their fourth win in a row. Cy Ridge scored on their first drive of the game, but the Spartan defense was dominant after that, behind a strong front seven. Linebackers Sam Salas, Dylan Ward, and Jax Blundell racked up several tackles for loss, and Blundell batted down a pass to help stop Cy Ridge from extending their drive.

The offense scored at will behind a balanced rushing attack with great blocking by the offensive line of Ford Raley, Brady Cox, Sareem Islam, and Jackson Rodgers. Running backs Davis Kendall and Corbin Morris added several rushing touchdowns yet again, and QB Luke Tamez was solid as usual under center.

JV Green improved to 5-3 (4-1 in District) and will look forward to stiffer competition next week with a huge matchup on Thursday at rival Memorial HS.
