The Stratford Swim Team kicked off their season Saturday, October 7th , at a fun, all-relay meet against Memorial, Spring Woods, and Bridgeland. Per tradition, we were missing most of the juniors as this relay always falls on an SAT date.

Relays swam included a variety of non-traditional races such as the 3x100 IM, the 500 free with 5 swimmers swimming in a crescendo pattern (50, 100, 200, 100, 50), 4x100 free with fins, and ending with the most entertaining to watch….the traditional t-shirt 8x25 relay.

Several 1st place finishes and lots of top 3 finishers:

200 Yard Medley Relay (traditional event except 1 swimmer per grade level was required)

Girls:

2nd place - Lily Askounis (12th, back), Sophia Gisesecke (10th, breast), Piper Barrow (9th, fly), Sarah Beth Roady (11th, free)

3rd place – Elle Burke (11th, back), Lindsay Wong (12th, breast), Jill Hyland (9th, fly), Bella Smith (10th, free)

Boys:

3rd place – Charlie Goodman (11th, back), Brock Hunter (10th , breast), Austin Chao (12th , fly), Brady Herring (9th , free)
