The Junior Varsity Boys game on Wednesday at Strake Jesuit's outdoor pool was canceled due to lightning, so the boys had to settle for one game when they took on Klein Collins ahead of the Senior Night festivities. This game would turn out to be the most complete effort for the Junior Varsity and one that shows the Spartan Water Polo program still has a very bright future.

The boys displayed the great defense they have been known for but also showed some great passing and offensive skills. Charlie  Goodman got the scoring started for the Spartans, and Gavin Rump followed him up to give the Spartans a 2-0 lead. Klein Collins would finally get on the board, but then the Spartans answered quickly with a goal from Luke Ickes. Klein Collins would then run off 3 goals in a row to briefly take the lead, but the Spartans answered quickly with 3 of their own goals from Gavin Rump to move back out to a 6-4 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Spartans would just gradually extend their lead with two 3rd-quarter goals from Jack Robertson and then 4th-quarter goals from Delsyn Brisbin, Brady Herring, Gavin Rumpand Robertson to leave the Spartans with a solid 12-7 victory.

Next up for the Junior Varsity is the JV District Tournament next week where the Spartans will be looking to take home the title. Game times are still TBD.
