The boys golf team competed in the UIL 6A State Golf Tournament, on May 22 and 23 in Georgetown TX. Stratford was represented by senior Andrew Ferworn, junior Ben Potter, sophomores Caleb Lumpkin, Tyler Davis, Andrew Molina, and alternate senior Chris Blaine.

On the first day, the team started off slow but rebounded as they started the back nine holes. The team ended day one with a total score of 302, placing us in 7th position. Junior Caleb Lumpkin led the team overall with a one-over-par total score. On day two, the sun and wind came back out but the team remained calm, shooting a 296 total score. Senior Andrew Ferworn capitalized on the field falling back, shooting 2 under par, which placed him tied for 26th position. Ben Potter also played well on the final day shooting one over par, which place him tied for 16th individually.

Overall, the team finished 7th place with a total score of 598. We are really proud of the team for making it to the State Tournament and competing against the best teams in Texas!

Congratulation to the team for an amazing year!
