Texas Distance Festival

Stratford junior Niamh Collins traveled to Southlake in the Dallas area over the weekend to compete at the Texas Distance Festival against many of the top distance runners from across Texas and neighboring states. Niamh entered the 1600 meter run (aka mile) and was placed in the final, elite heat based on her seeding. She ran a fantastic race and finished with a time of 5:07.43, a six-plus second personal record (PR) and good enough for 27th place overall out of 300+ girls.
