The Lady Spartans hosted Cy Lakes at home on Valentine’s Day and there couldn’t have been anything sweeter than the resulting 15-0 win to kick off the regular season. Senior Hayden Houser and Freshman Gwyn Katterhenry combined to pitch a complete shutout!

The Lady Spartans braved the weather and took the field in the Katy ISD tournament, playing a total of 6 games between Thursday and Saturday. The Spartans went 3-3 in the tournament against some tough competition.
The Lady Spartans again handled Cy Lakes with no problem, starting off the tournament with a 14-4 win. Marina Taveras had a busy day at the plate, smacking 4 hits in total as the steady leadoff hitter went 4-4. Aashna Kapoor earned the victory on the mound for the Spartans.
