The Sophomore Team pushed their District record to 12-0 and 18-1 overall with a high-scoring game vs Jersey Village 72-22 and a tough win vs Cy Fair. The boys will finish the season vs Cy Creek Tuesday.

vs. Jersey Village

The Jersey Village game started with the Spartans scoring 20/21/26 points in the first three quarters to build a 66-13 lead in a very unselfish game by the boys with 20 assists on 31 field goals. Cole Messer led the team with 5 assists, and Parker Johnson had 4 dimes. Four other players had 2 assists. The glass was dominated with 4 players with 5+ rebounds (Ethan White 8 , Cameron Cocheu 10, Luke Pine 6, and Parker Johnson 5), and every player recorded a rebound. The final score was 72-22.

vs. Cy Fair

On Friday the boys traveled to Cy Fair and had an extremely competitive game that found themselves down 23-22 at halftime. The Spartans had a 19-6 third quarter to pull away and ultimately won 49-34. The game was extremely physical and our team adjusted to the denial defense with back-door cut after back-door cut to create the cushion. Ethan White and Andrew Marks brought extreme intensity and physicality to this game with 8 and 7 deflections as well as five combined steals. Andrew Marks had 6 assists, and Kolton Kurek added 5 as they carved through the pressure in the second half. Luke Pine was a steady constant against the press and intiated offense on an 11-point burst for the Spartans in 3 minutes in the third.
