On Thursday, January 26th, both Stratford Divers traveled to the Cy-Fair Nat for District competition and secured their spots to move on to Regional Competition. Senior Belle Burkhart finished 4th with a finals score of 205.80 and sophomore Korbin Irvine finished 4th with a score of 299.95.

On Friday, January 27th, the Stratford Varsity Swimmers had their turn at District, where the top 6 places in individual events and top 4 relays advance to Regional competition next week. It was a very successful meet for Stratford! The girls finished in 1st place and the boys finished 3rd. We had 8 girls and 10 boys qualify for the Regional Meet including individual events and relays! Thank you to Coach Brisbin and Coach Duncan (and Coach Cramer from afar) for a great taper and getting the swimmers just where they needed to be to excel at this meet! Tons of personal bests! Also, we appeared to be the team with the best spirit—a truly happy team. And it showed with our fast swims!

Congratulations, also, to Head Swim Coach Casandra Brisbin on being named Ladies’ Swim Coach of the year and tying for District Coach of the Meet!
