The Sophomore Boy's basketball team continued their strong start to the season with wins in district versus Spring Woods 69-32 and Cypress Ridge 57-38.

vs. Spring Woods

The Spring Woods game was blown open with a 22-8 second quarter, and they continued with that momentum the rest of the way. Every player scored again with Kolton Kurek scoring 16 with 3 rebounds/assists, Cameron Cocheu had 10 points and 5 rebounds, and Caden Bush had 9 points and 4 rebounds. Parker Johnson led the team with 4 steals, and Vlad Vatrachki led the team with 5 assists.

vs. Cy Ridge

Saturday Cy Ridge had a scrappy group, and the team escalated their defensive intensity recording 18 steals and 27 deflections. Stratford started fast, up 17-7 after one and built on the lead every quarter. Andrew Marks was dominant offensively inside with 13 points and 4 rebounds, while Kolton Kurek scored 14 to go with 3 steals.

This team continues to be defined by their depth of productivity, defensive intensity, and toughness. They will need to continue those traits to improve on their 11-1 record (district 3-0) as some tough teams loom in the next couple of weeks.
