vs. Klein Forest

JV played two games on Thursday at the SBISD Sub-Varsity Tournament and went undefeated. Sophomore Megan Hallmark paced the team versus Klein Forest with 13 points and sank 9 of 11 free-throws in the effort. Sophomore Katherine Cronin had 12 points and was 2-for-3 from behind the arc. Sophomore Emerson Berg grabbed 5 rebounds in the 39-31 win.

vs. Spring Woods

Hallmark and Cronin helped their team take Spring Woods to the woodshed, 55-14, in the other game. Hallmark scored 19 points and had 4 steals. Cronin had 12 points and 3 steals. Sophomore Gretchen Loveless had 7 points. Sophomore Gwenyth Koss had 6 points and 7 rebounds.

vs. Magnolia West

On Friday the JV faced off against Magnolia West with the winner advancing to the title game. Hallmark was her usual consistent leader, filling the boxscore with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. Koss put in 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. But the Spartans struggled from the free-throw line and the game went into overtime. Mag West prevailed 36-31.

vs. Klein Cain

That put the Spartans in the third-place game on Saturday vs. Klein Cain. It was a relatively low-scoring affair. Hallmark and Koss both scored 9 points with Koss snaring 6 rebounds. Cronin put in 8 points and 5 rebounds. Berg had 7 rebounds, and the Spartans squeaked out a 29-27 win and third-place honors! They currently sit at 5 wins and 5 losses.
