The Freshman White Football Team closed out their season with a victory over Jersey Village.

Gavin Guzman connected on several TD passes. Bernardo Sanchez caught 2 TDs. Jack Watson so had 2 TD receptions including a fingertip catch in the back of the end-zone, and a long post-pattern pass-in caught in stride for a 60+ yard score. Bernardo also connected on a 25-yd field goal for a score. Dillion Walker anchored the run game with solid production and pass-blocking all game long. Dillion also added a TD reception on a screen pass.

The Spartan Defense was trouble for the Jersey Village team. Hunter Williams recorded multiple sacks/tackles for a loss. Turnovers were abundant, as Andrews Vidal recovered a fumble in the backfield, Wes Hall had an interception, Jack Carl recorded 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Overall – a very strong performance and great way to close out the season for both sides of the ball for the Freshman White Team.

The Freshman Green Team battled to a 14-14 tie with the Jersey Village Falcons. The offense was led by Luke Tamez through the air. Luke connected with Luke Zilafro for a short pass that Zilafro turned up the sideline for a long TD play. Davis Kendall led the team in the ground game, one highlight being at 65+ yard TD run with a really sweet hesitation move to spring clear of defenders. Defensively – Dillon Ward and Jax Blundell stopped the Falcons on the inside run and passing game. The DBs and defensive lines played a really good game also limiting the Falcons. It wasn’t the Win the Spartans had hoped to end the season on, but the Freshman Green team played a good game, fought hard, and never let up.
