Varsity finished District play and the regular season at Jersey Village. A victory in this matchup would give the team a perfect 14-0 record in District play.

The Falcons put up a fight, but in each set, point after point, the Spartans built up a lead until Stratford came away with a 25-15, 25-9, 25-13 victory. While each point seemed closer than the final margin might indicate, the outcome itself also never really seemed in doubt.

The victory gave Varsity its first undefeated run in District play since 2008, and kept this train running at full speed towards the playoffs. In 14 games in District play, the Spartans won 42 sets and dropped only 2.

Stratford’s Bi-District playoff game will be against Westside High School on Tuesday at 5 pm next door at Don Coleman Coliseum. Come on out and get the gym ROCKIN. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased with cash at the door or online ahead of time – click here.
