The Freshmen White team played a strong Cy-Creek team, and put together a solid all around game to come away with the 33-8 victory. Among the many defensive highlights were a forced fumble by Everett Taylor that was recovered by Eric Velazquez. The defensive secondary did a great job shutting down the Cy-Creek passing game. Offensively the team was led by Larenzo Rochelle on the ground along with Luke Mica. The offensive line did a great job of run and pass blocking throughout the game to enable long gainers from both running backs. Quarterback Gavin Guzman connected with Jaelaun Rosser early in the 1st quarter for 40+-yard TD score through the air, then again on a 35+-yd touchdown pass later in the 1st quarter. The Guzman to Rosser connection was once again ignited in the 2nd quarter for another long TD pass to put the Spartans ahead 26-2. Guzman later hooked up with Jack Watson on a long TD pass to put the Spartans up 33-8. The Freshmen White team plays Eisenhower on Wednesday at Stratford High.
