Varsity started the week in sole possession of 1st place in the District standings, facing a pair of road matches.

Varsity started the week traveling to Spring Woods on Tuesday. From the first serve, the Spartans opened up a huge early lead and never looked back. Varsity cruised to a quick straight set victory 25-5, 25-7, 25-9. The win gave Coach A yet another chance to experiment with new positions and lineups while keeping the momentum going.

On Friday Stratford travelled to Cy Ridge, which came into the contest in a tie for second place in the District. The Spartans kept the pressure up and crushed the Rams 25-14, 25-14, 25-12.

The wins this week left Stratford 5-0 in District, one game ahead of Cy Fair and multiple games ahead of the rest of the field.

Next week, the Spartans travel on Tuesday to Memorial. Game time is 5:30. We would LOVE to have a sea of green make the journey to the 024 and help support our ladies in this traditionally hostile environment. The team then finishes the week on Friday at home against Jersey Village, game time also starting at 5:30. See you there!
