Varsity started off the week traveling to Cy Creek for their second District matchup. Facing an enthusiastic Cy Creek fan base and quality opponent, the Spartans prevailed in three strongly-contested straight sets.

Stratford then hosted Northbrook on Friday. The Spartans jumped out to a massive early lead in each set, coasting to an easy straight set victory. Coach Adcock used multiple lineup options, each of which dominated play against the Raiders.

In addition to a loud and supportive crowd of students and parents, Varsity was supported at the Northbrook game by a large contingent of faculty for Teacher Appreciation Night. The team was proud to honor these educators in a pregame on-court ceremony and thank them for all they do to prepare our student athletes for the next steps in their journey.

The victories this week vaulted Varsity into sole possession of first place in District play. The team this week looks to extend this lead in a pair of road matchups. On Tuesday, the Spartans travel to Spring Woods. They then visit Cy Ridge on Friday.
