Varsity Football Moves to 2-0 on the Season After Win Against Oak Ridge 31-28

Varsity Football improved to 2-0 after beating a talented Oak Ridge High School 31-28 on Friday night. Stratford's points came from 3 receptions to Jake Brand and 1 run by Dallas Payne. Giancarlo Chelala's 4 extra point kicks and 1 field goal provided 7 additional points. The offense was led by Jake Brand's 11 catches for 176 yards, which came from Nash Rankin's 242 total passing yards, and Dallas Payne's 135 rushing yards. Austin Larue (7 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks), Brecken Menuet (9 tackles, 1 blocked extra point) and Cooper King (18 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 2 sacks) led the defense with Nate Grant providing a key interception late in the game. Jake Brand was named Vype Media's Player of the Game.

The next game is this Thursday, 6:00 pm, against Alief Hastings. Location is Alief's Crump Stadium.
