The Freshmen White Team battled to a 21-14 Victory against Oak Ridge. It was a back-and-forth game with Oak Ridge and Stratford trading TDs until late in the game when the Spartans took home the win. Stratford put together a great drive from their own to to score a TD. This drive was anchored by long runs by Guzman and plays were had in the 2nd quarter. Luke Mika and Lorenzo Rochelle had some big contributions in the ground game as well.

Defensively, the Spartans defensive line had the Oak Ridge QB under pressure most of the evening. Hunter Williams and Colton Muehr were in the offensive backfield all night. Wyatt Koy added an interception in the 2nd quarter to stop an Oak Ridge Drive, and Everett Taylor added several tackles from the linebacker position. One awesome defensive play had the fans on their feet late in the game. Jack Sullivan had an acrobatic one-handed interception. Although the play was negated by a penalty, it was an amazing play

Overall – a great Team win for Stratford Freshman White team

The Freshman Green Team came up short against Oak Ridge 16-21. Davis Kendall had an outstanding game at RB, with several long runs and broken tackles. Jake Weinhardt had a few key blocks to spring Davis Kendall open, including one to spring Kendall for a 20-yd TD scamper.

Defensively the Spartans had an outstanding performance by Jackson Holz. He was a menace all around. Other stand-out performances on defense were had by Luke Zilafro and Jax Blundell.

The Spartans played hard all game, and had a chance to pull ahead in the 4th quarter, but ultimately fell to a very talented Oak Ridge team.
