The Freshmen Green team opened the season with a 21-7 loss to Tomball. Tomball used a steady run game to pound away offensively. The Spartans fought hard on offense, with multiple stand-out plays by Corbin Morris, Xaviera Campbell, Luke Tamez, and Will McCarroll. Defensively the Spartans looked solid, with the defensive line and linebackers making several stops for a loss, and Cody Hanlen added an interception in the 3rd quarter. The Spartan's next game is this Thursday at Stratford, ~6:15 pm, vs. Oak Ridge.
