The Stratford Boys JV Water Polo headed off to a tournament in Cy Fair to take on a couple of other squads from Cy Fair. In the first game the mighty Spartans faced Cypress Woods and jumped out to an early lead and never relented. They were up 4-2 at the end of the first as Devon Beals led the way with three goals and Elliot Easton chipped in the other. The second period was more of the same as the Spartans extended their lead to 7-2 as Marin Pavlin got in on the scoring and Devon and Elliot each added another goal. In the second half the Spartans got everyone into the game and they continued to dominate to take 11-4 lead at the end of the third period. Ian Ong got into the scoring column with two goals and Freshmen Gavin Rump and Brock Hunter also chipped in goals. The final period was more of the same as the Spartans cruised to a 14-6 final. Charlie Moore joined the scoring party with a goal and Elliot and Marin added their 3rd and 2nd goals respectively. Overall this was a tremendous effort by the JV Boys and a great first win of the season.

In the second game Stratford squared off with Cypress Park and continued their hot ways. They jumped out to a first quarter lead of 5-0 behind 2 goals each from Devon Beals and Elliot Easton and a goal from Marin Pavlin. Cypress Park made a valiant effort in the second quarter and cut the lead to 6-4 at the half. The Spartan goal was scored by Ricky Conticello. In the third quarter the Spartans reestablished their dominance and took a 9-5 lead. The goals were scored by Devon, Elliot, and Ian Ong. The Spartans struggled a little bit in the fourth quarter but held on for the 9-8 victory. Devon Beals with his 7 goals on the day and Elliot Easton with his 6 goals were the players of the day. Overall the two victories were a great start for the JV season.
