Varsity started the week 7-2, ranked No. 7 in the Chronicle’s Houston area power rankings. They looked to improve those positions against a pair of solid opponents.

vs. Katy HS

On Tuesday, Stratford traveled to Katy High School. The Spartans jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. In a relatively quick game, the Spartans cruised to a straight set win.

vs. Bellaire HS

On Friday, Varsity hosted Bellaire High School. Bellaire came in unranked but gave the Spartans all they could handle. Stratford prevailed in three close sets.

The team finished the week 9-2. Stratford hosts the St. Agnes squad on Monday at 5:30. Later in the week, Varsity travels to Leander for the Volleypalooza tournament in Leander, Texas.
