On Thursday, April 28th, the Stratford Swim & Dive Team gathered one last time for the year for an awards ceremony. We had a great season that all our athletes should be proud of! And thank you to Coach Thomas, Coach Brisbin, and Coach Kutac for all your hard work.

The highlight of the evening was the senior speeches, a long-held Stratford Swim & Dive Team tradition, in which each senior gets up and talks about their time on the team: the grit it takes to get in the water at 6:30 am every day for a hard workout (or to get out of your comfort zone as a diver); the forever friendships they have made on the team; the support they’ve received from parents, teammates, and coaches; the lessons they’ve learned; and the memories that will last a lifetime. It was a special evening, and we will miss you next year, seniors! Best of luck on your next endeavor!

Special thanks to Liliana Zhuri for being our photographer all season, Camille Stern for making sure the team always had snacks at meets, Aimee Beach and Dayna Doricich for organizing the banquet and signed senior posters, Annette Zuanich for being our team mom, all the parents for hosting team dinners, and to Tim Howell for taking on the much-needed role of Dive Liaison and writing such wonderful updates for the divers. They are amazing!
