Track meet season started for the varsity girls and boys on Saturday at the Cy Springs Panther Invite, and Old Man Winter made his presence known. Despite extreme winds and miserable temps that dropped throughout the day, the Spartans battled the elements and their competitors and posted solid results in many areas.
The girls team finished second place overall out of 14 teams, and the boys were third out of 13.

NOTE: With the exception of the throwing events (discus, shot put), all other field events (pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump) were canceled due to weather.

Stratford sub-varsity will begin the season on Thursday, Feb. 17th at 4pm at the Stratford track complex, and the varsity will compete next Saturday the 19th at the Will Taylor Relays at Stratford High School.
