Stratford played a three game/three-day series beginning on Thursday at Klein High School.

In the first game Thursday, the Stratford Varsity boys played Klein Oak and tied game one at 2-2.

Friday Stratford dominated the Alvin and dominated throughout winning 8-0. Goals by #2 Jacob Smith early into he game put the score 1-0. Goals followed by Max Werner, a second goal by Jacob Smith, Bryan Vera, Patrick Ndaye, and Patrick Johnson had the Spartans up 5-0 at the half. The second half showed the Spartans holding Alvin to no goals, but Max Werner, Eduardo Sanchez, and another by Patrick Johnson ended the scoring at 8-0.

Saturday was cold and windy, with gusts to 40 mph all day. Stratford played Klein and got early scoring from Zakir Ashford and a corner kick score by Max Werner. Max added another goal before the half and Stratford led 3-0.  The second half saw on Klein scoring and Stratford’s defense holding and winning this one 3-1.

Season record moved to 4-0-1 remaining undefeated with scoring totals GF 20 and GA 4.  I am told, but this is not verified, that this boys varsity soccer team is ranked 56th in the state. Next week they plan a team ranking #4.  Go Spartans.
