The sky was gray but the cleats were red hot.  Stratford JV moved the ball with purpose and kept the ball in George Ranches territory for most of the game resulting in a 5-1 win.   Gracie Howard precisely lined up the ball and shot neatly home over the goalkeeper's reach for the first goal of the evening.  Two more points were added to the board in the first half by Elizabeth Byrd and Kaylann Vinson-Gay.  Not much action occurred near Stratford’s goal in the first half due to Stratford’s defense quickly closing down spaces with Kate Michels sending the ball flying black to George Ranch’s side of the field on several occasions. The second half of the game produced two more goals- one by Elizabeth Byrd from a strong cross from Elise LaVern and the final goal of the game coming from Bre Blaylock with a cross shot coming from Layla Walkers’ beautiful corner kick.  This team doesn't quit and is a lot of fun to watch.
