On January 5th, the Swim & Dive Teams held their Green vs. Gold Intrasquad Meet to honor this year’s seniors:

Senior Girls: Charlize Spiers (diving), Grace Stern, Ariana Zhuri, Jordan Kennedy, Artemisa De Jager

Senior Boys: Andres Valle, Lucas Groves, Eric Jackson, Robbie Howell (diving), Tyler Barber, Callum Glover, Gavin Beach

This was a laid-back meet with the swimmers having no timers and the divers being judged by the swimmers, so they all did really well!

Charlize Spiers and Robbie Howell, both seniors and integral members of the Diving Team for four years, along with freshman Megan Grijalva performed a few standard dives, and then entertained the audience with some synchronized diving and cannonballs. The next competition for the divers will be the District Diving Meet on Thursday, January 20th at Klein High School.

The swimmers had a quick turn-around, with about half the team traveling to Katy Taylor High School on Saturday, January 8th, for the Duel in the Pool Meet (an invitational) against Cinco Ranch, Clements, and Katy Taylor High Schools. Stratford had a great showing, especially since the team is at the pinnacle of their grueling training schedule before they begin to taper for the Varsity District Swim Meet (Saturday, January 22nd) and the JV District Swim Meet (Friday, January 21st), both at Klein High School.
