Three Stratford divers took part in the SBISD Invitational Diving Meet on December 3. Seniors Robbie Howell and Charlize Spiers each earned second-place finishes. Sofia Scichilone continued to perform well at the JV level.

Charlize performed several very clean dives in pike position. She finished her series with two difficult twisting dives, each receiving awards of 5.5-6 from the judges. Robbie earned awards of 5-6 on most of his dives, highlighted by an inward pike that received an 8 from one judge. Sofia continues to improve; her best dive was an inward tuck that received judges’ awards of 5 points.

The Stratford Divers are next scheduled to compete in the District Meet on January 20.
