Stratford varsity football dominated Cy Creek on Saturday night in a 64-0 win.  Going into the game the Cy Creek offense was averaging 43 points per game and touted as the district's best offense, but the district's best defense (Stratford) was able to shut them out and now has only allowed an average of 11 points per game.  The Spartans were already up 20-0 early in the first quarter, due in part to Luke Rives' opening kickoff return and Antwone McDonald's interception return during Cy Creek's first offensive series.  The remaining scores came from an impressive offensive performance that consisted of 469 total yards (303 rushing and 166 passing).  Defensively, the Spartans dominated with a total of 3 interceptions, 6 tipped passes, multiple tackles for losses, and constant pressure on a highly productive quarterback.  Stratford's record improves to 8-0.  The next game is Saturday afternoon at Tully against Jersey Village, who is also undefeated.  The winner of this game is likely the district champion.
