Spartan tennis was in action 4 days this week with over 100 individual matches played! On Tuesday, varsity dismantled the Spring Woods tigers 18-1 at home while JV hit the road and beat Deer Park 12-7! Wednesday, varsity made up their district match with Cy Ridge and toppled the rams 18-1 as well! On Friday, varsity traveled to Clear Brook for the first round of the Galveston tourney and defeated the wolverines 15-4 to advance to the semi-finals. Saturday morning brought beautiful weather for a semi-final battle with Clear Springs! After a back and forth match, your Spartans came out on top 11-8 to advance to the finals. The finals brought a rematch with Pearland Dawson. Many matches were very close, but ultimately, we lost a heartbreaker 11-8 to finish as the runner-ups.
