On January 22nd and 23rd, the Stratford Varsity swimmers competed at the District 14-6A Meet, which included all four SBISD high schools as well as four Klein ISD high schools. It is a very fast, super competitive district, with only the top 4 spots advancing to Regionals. All the swimmers rose to the occasion, swimming either personal best times or season best times. A shout out goes to our brand new coaches, Coach Thomas and Coach Brisbin, for getting our swimmers right where they needed to be in their training to race their best. The women finished 3rd overall, while the men finished 4th.

Stratford relays finishing in the top 4 spots and advancing to Regionals are:

The women’s 200 yard medley relay team finishing 1st with a time of 1:48.98 with Emma Venghaus (back), Kara Moss (breast), Allison Ortiz (fly), and Megan Zuanich (free)

  • The men’s 200 yard medley relay team finishing 2nd with a time of 1:37.23 with Max Zuanich (back), Lowell Moss (breast), Callum Glover (fly), and Jack Brennan (free)
  • The women’s 200 yard free relay team finishing 2nd with a time of 1:39.16 with Kara Moss, Allison Ortiz, Lindsay Wong, and Megan Zuanich
  • The men’s 400 yard free relay team finishing 4th with a time of 3:15.81 with Callum Glover, Tyler Barber, Jack Brennan, and Max Zuanich

Individually, the following swimmers finished in the top 4 places in their events and will go on to compete at Regionals:
