The Sophomore team had its season opener on Friday, November 13, 2020. The team got off to a good start with a 48-43 win over Cinco Ranch. The Spartans took an early lead and had control of the game for the first half. However, Cinco Ranch came back strong in the 3rd quarter and the Spartans went cold at the same time. Cinco Ranch took a 12-point lead going into the 4th quarter 40-28. The Spartans fought back and played solid defense holding Cinco Ranch to only 3 points in the quarter in order to regain the lead for an exciting 48-43 win over Cinco Ranch. The win was a good team effort and scoring was spread pretty evenly among the Spartans. The top scorers for the game were Kemari Stanfill and Heayden Daly both with 9 points and Matthew McDuffie and Will Messer with 6 points.
