January 16th-January 17th Boys Varsity Update
On January 16-17 the Varsity golf team played in The Woodlands Invitational. The first day was played at The Woodlands Tournament Course and in very difficult conditions. Stratford was in fourth place going into the second day but unable to maintain their place. The second day was played at the Gary Player Course and again the boys battled rain and wind and for some the weather got the better of them. Stratford finished in the middle of the pack and was led in scoring for the two days of competition by Ben Reidel, Campbell Ross and Thomas Scaff.
November 28th JV Update
The boys JV golf team played in the Ram Classic held at Pine Forest Country Club on Monday, November 28th. While it was a cold start with frost delay, the boys persevered. Leading the team was Gene Crocker (87), with Mark Leader (92), Tim Purvis (94) and Jacob Peter (95) contributing. Tournaments will resume in February.
November 17th Girls Update
Congratulations to the Stratford Women's Golf Team who won first place in their 9-hole tournament last Thursday, Nov 17th at Brenham Country Club. Team Captain, Hannah Price, also earned an individual medal for lowest tournament score. They braved the cold, wet weather, and all improved their scores from the first tournament; we are very proud of them. Click HERE for a picture from the tournament.

November 10th JV Update
The JV A golf team placed 3rd overall at the Country Place tournament held Thursday, November 10th. Nick Hwang finished 3rd overall, shooting 80. Additionally, Mark Leader and Min Hao Muh finished at 96 and 98, respectively. B team golfers were led by Timothy Purvis with a round of 88, followed by Nicholas First (98) and Jacob Peter (103). Our last fall tournament will be held November 28th at Pine Forest.
November 4th-November 5th Update
On November 4th and 5th, the boys Varsity A&B golf team participated in the Deer Park Invitational at Battleground Golf Club. There were sixteen, eight member teams entered in the tournament. We are excited to say that the Varsity A team came in second place and that Thomas Scaff with a score of 75/71 came in first place with the lowest individual score. Varsity A - Thomas Scaff, Doug West, Campbell Ross, Patrick O'Keefe, and Ben Reidel.
Varsity B finished in the middle of the pack with Preston Wall and Zeb Kaminsky leading the B team. Varsity B - Preston Wall, Zeb Kaminsky, Sam Waldorf, Peter Radecki and Gene Crocker.

The Varsity schedule will resume after the holidays.
Boys JV will be playing Nov.15th in Pearland and Nov. 28th at Pine Forest CC in the Mayde Creek Invitational.
October JV Update
The JV Golf team is off to a good start for a developing team. Our year started at Pecan Lakes with leaders shooting in the high 80s and low 90s. Leaders for our 2nd tournament in Magnolia’s Blake Tree course were Zeb Kaminsky (A team), Ian Wu (B team) , and Preston Wall, Jeff Mah, Peter Radecki and Tim Purvis (C team). November tournaments include Pearland’s Country Place course on the 10th and Pine Forest on the 28th
October 14th-October 15th Update
On October 14th and 15th, the Stratford Men’s Varsity golf team competed in the A&M Consolidated High School “Tiger Classic”, played at Timber Creek Country Club in College Station, Texas. The Spartans posted a 36 hole total of 649 which placed them in the middle of the pack. Thomas Scaff posted rounds of 78, 76 for a 36 round total of 154, good for a 10 place finish.
The Varsity Men's "A" and "B" teams next compete on November 4th and 5th in Deer Park at the Battlegrounds Golf Club. The Junior Varsity team will compete in a tournament at Blake Tree Golf Club in Magnolia, Texas on October 24th.
September 16th-September 17th Update
On September 16/17th the Stratford Varsity A golf team competed in the Bart Granger Memorial Tournament in Ft. Worth. Thomas Scaff, Doug West, Campbell Ross, Ben Riedel and Trevor Hennington kicked off the year in a positive way. The tournament consisted of three rounds, second round called due to heavy storms. The team was led in scoring by Thomas Scaff 75/79 and Campbell Ross 77/78. The team finished in the middle of the field. We are looking forward to much success in 2011/2012.
